How Fond Memories Can Bring You Joy And Happiness To Your Life

Updated on May 5, 2012

Have you ever just had a bad day when nothing seemed to go right? You seem so sad and upset about how your day is going and all of a sudden a fond memory pops into your head of your past and a smile comes about your face and in your inner soul.

This has happened to me on more than one occasion. How fond memories can bring you joy and happiness is a real thing. If you had a great childhood as I did, when we were young, just think back in time and remember those things that brought you joy and happiness in your life and put on that smile inside and out.

It really works thinking of your past and remembering things that happened in your life that brought so much happiness to you. When you feel as if the world has turned against you and you are down and out, just stop and think of the fond memories you have of your past.

The New Jersey shore and Florida brings the fondest memories to me and makes me the happiest. Those memories are still real as of today writing this article. Those memories of all the joy and happiness those two places had brought me, and still carry with me today, living in each place in my heart and in real life as far as the Jersey Shore.

My wife and I worked on our lives and our marriage for 30 years to get as perfect as we could and to get to where we are today, which is now living full time at the New Jersey shore. It took 30 years to get where we are now, but each year of planning and hard work was well worth the hard work and waiting to finally get to the place that brought those fond memories and happiness into our lives many years ago, for she too grew up at the Jersey shore also.

After you are through reading this, stop and think of your past and try to remember some of your fond memories that gave you joy and happiness in your life when you were young and see if they bring a smile to your face and inner soul. I bet when you think about those memories you will get a feeling of peace come about you and you will smile from the inside out. Try it and see just how fond memories can bring joy and happiness into your life, and if it works, which I'm sure it will, practice doing the same thing each and everyday from now on in.

Bring some laughter into your life and try to smile each and everyday as hard as it may seem to do for many people. Laughter and smiling seems to cleanse my soul and refreshes me inside and out.

That seems to be a huge problem with many people these days, we forget how to be happy, to laugh and to smile because there are so many things going on in our lives, with our jobs, trying to make enough money to just make ends meet and just the everyday things that we have to do just to get through the day. Many of us are so overwhelmed with everything going on in our lives we do forget what is most important, and that is yourself.

We forget what really made us happy years ago, so that is why we should think of our past and bring back those fond memories and try to bring that smile back into our life, if only for a minute or two. Anything is better than nothing. A little smile is better than no smile at all.

In closing, I would like to say that I know so many people have many different problems, many different illnesses and with these things going on in our lives it tends to be so difficult to be happy or even to smile, but we all need to really try hard to bring that smile and happiness back into our lives. By doing so, you will feel a little better even if it is only for a short time out of your day.

You will be surprised how a laugh or a smile can change your day, so give it a try and remember your fond memories and see how you will feel while remembering those happy times in your past.
