Preparation to Stop Smoking in a Week

Updated on July 11, 2015

Stop smoking in One Week by Spirit Whisperer

There is a need being fulfilled by the smoking and because it is a subconscious need you have no logical rational explanation for spending so much time and energy in doing it. Being a subconsciously controlled behaviour you have no conscious control over it. You, my friend, are in the grip of addiction.

If you smoke 20 cigarettes day that means you are spending at least £35 per week, £140 per month and £1680 per year. But that doesn't include all the extra cigarettes smoked at parties etc.

You spend around 3 minutes smoking a cigarette and if you smoke 20 cigarettes a day that would be nearly an hour per day spent devoted to cigarette smoking and that doesn't include the time taken to find a suitable place to do it if you are out. 7 hours per week , 28 hours per month, and a whopping 336 hours per year. This means you spend 14 days of the year smoking.

This gives you an idea of the commitment you have made to your nicotine habit. You can easily calculate that if you have been smoking for the last 10 years then you have probably spent close to £17,000 on cigarettes and have used 140 days of your life doing it. You are burning your money and continue to do so.

The best way to stop smoking is with awareness! I know what I have said may come as a surprise to you but that is exactly what is required. How else can you bring this subconsciously controlled behaviour under your conscious control?

I have been studying the dynamics of the human mind for years in my private practice as a clinical hypnotherapist and have shown people how hypnosis can be used to harness awareness and focus thought like a laser beam to achieve what they want. To stop smoking is a relatively easy thing to do once the cooperation of conscious and subconscious has been enlisted.

Test of Awareness

The Stop Smoking in 1 Week using my Awareness Method

My method involves awareness and careful preparation. It is important that you adhere strictly to my simple instructions on how I want you to smoke for a week and the audio that I ask you to play before you start prepares your mind to succeed.

Before you start my Stop Smoking Method you must first prepare your mind. Just as a farmer prepares his fields before sowing his valuable seed you too must prepare your mind for the task ahead. To do this use the audio recording Treatment Preparation by Xavier which you can purchase from my website. This is important because in order to address any addiction the first step should be to prepare the mind that has caused the addiction in the first place. I recommend that you burn the audio to CD or play it from an iPod or MP3 player for no less than 10 days before you read your instructions to Stop Smoking in a Week.

The preparation audio teaches the secrets of deep relaxation which you can use for the rest of your life. The audio is an invaluable tool to overcome stress and help you maintain a positive mindset. I recommend you continue to use the audio even after you have stopped smoking as the benefits you receive from playing the audio will enhance the quality of your life and happiness.

After completing this 10 days mind preparation you are ready to read your instructions and begin your last week of smoking. I have written the instructions for your final week of smoking in a separate hub in HubPages which you can access from the link below:

Follow this link to "The Instructions" for your final week of smoking

Please don't forget to leave a comment after you have quit smoking using my Stop Smoking with Awareness Method. The comments you leave can encourage more smokers to quit.

Sprit, my husband tried many time to quit on his own and with meds.

Then one day about 4 months ago he just stopped and has not started up again. I think it is will power and really wanting to stop.

You are absolutely right coexist73 and thank you for your comments. The problem with addiction is that it is subconsciously controlled so even when people know its bad will power alone is often not enough to conquer the power of the subconscious to get what it wants. I liken it to standing in front of a freight train to stop it. There is always a very good emotional root cause for everything we do even when it is harmful and I empathize with people who are in the grip of addiction as I was once a very heavy smoker.

Even thinking about utilizing this method makes me want to quit smoking. None of us want to face our demons but to face them is the key to stopping, we wont quit unless we want t and we wont want to until we can fully comprehend how harmful it is, by opening our eyes and recognizing what we are doing to ourselves.

Very good point Fucsia.I totally agree with you in that a person has to really want to stop smoking in the first place. My method or any method for that matter can only work if the person first wants to quit. My method cannot make somemone want to quit but is very successful in helping someone quit who already wants to. My hypnosis audio however can help someone develop the motivation to want to change anything that is doing them harm.

I am a former smoker. My story with smoke is characterized by successes and failures, until I found a deep motivation and quit smoking was very easy, natural, obvious. ( I wrote an Hub on this argument ). I think that every person has his particularly story with smoke, and every person can find his motivation.

Your method seems very good. I am sure that will help many people to stop. But I also think that without a real motivation is easy have relapses. For this reason I recommend to look inside yourself, in search of why you smoke. Maybe is another way to become aware!

Compliments for your work, I wish you success!

The method is based on awareness not intelligence. It is most important that your father smoke with awareness on the act of smoking and all that goes with it. In other words when he is smoking he must concentrate on the cigarette and the feel of smoking. He must not allow anything to distract him from this task.

You method is sound. I think that suitable for person who are intelligent and good at observe. What if use it on a person who are not that educated, will it not work?

I asked this because if I teach my dad, he might not understand what and which to observe and describe.

You can choose to believe that if you wish but if you choose to believe that then it will be injurious. Remember what faith can do to's true!

My method works and those who faithfully used it are now free of nicotine addiction which is far more injurious.

      Thank you for asking though.

I have heard that immediate stopping of smoking will be injurious and it has to be stopped in a phased manner.
