What is a Featured article?

A Featured article is an article that our Quality Assessment Process (QAP) has identified as being of particularly good standing. A Featured article is given special status on HubPages and enjoys the following benefits:

1. It appears on HubPages' Topic pages and in the Related section of other articles.
2. It receives increased exposure through external search engines.
3. It is prominently displayed on your public HubPages Profile page.

Recently published or updated articles that have not yet been assessed by the QAP will appear as "Pending" in My Account >Statistics. QAP assessment is usually completed within 48 hours, after which the “Pending” status is changed. If an article becomes Featured, a black "H" symbol will appear next to the article’s title in My Account>Statistics.
