I am a property manager in Little Rock, Arkansas. I enjoy writing about various topics that I think may be helpful to others.

Tweens Are A Fun But Tricky Age To Buy For

Tweens are at that awkward age where they are not really a kid anymore but they're also not really a teenager. They are one of the hardest groups to buy for. However, in my opinion they are also one of the most fun! These girls are wanting items that make them feel stylish, cool, girly and fun. Though there are plenty of high priced items that they may want, there are PLENTY of items that they would love for just under $50. Here's a list of some suggestions that they are sure to love. Read deeper into the article for a list of more specific items!

  • Candy
  • Gift cards for stores such a Forever XXI, Target, Ulta or iTunes
  • Body wash or body spray
  • Decorative phone case
  • Nail polish
  • Washable neon hair color
  • Lip gloss
  • Bath bombs
  • Jewelry and accessories
  • Stickers to decorate their binders or locker
  • Books

Phone Accessories

Tweens, teens and everyone in between love their phones! So naturally, a phone accessory is a great choice for a gift. Whether it's a new speaker, phone case or selfie mirror there are PLENTY of great gift ideas perfect for your techy tween!

Tween girls love two things, their phone and feeling girly! This adorable iPhone case will certainly make the girl in your life feel cool when they open this gift! It's for only $11.99. You can't beat that!

Tween girls love to be stylish! They can never have too many accessories. A cute bag is a great gift that will not only make them feel stylish but also a good place to store their lip gloss, pencils and phone!

Fidget Spinner Craze

If you were to search on Amazon for fidget spinners, over 75,000 results will show up! Fidget spinners are great for both boys and girls alike. There are YouTube videos dedicated to showing you cool tricks you can do. You can find them in almost every color, shape and size. There are so many unique choices to pick from!

If you haven't been living under a rock, you know all about the fidget spinner craze. Even though I don't necessarily understand it's appeal, it has certainly become increasingly popular over the past 6 months. Many people have spinners in different colors, shapes and sizes but this Kivors Speaker Fidget Spinner plays music straight from your phone! It is listed at only $9.99 and comes in many different colors!

Pretty Nails

Every girl loves having pretty nails. While many adults will spend $40 or more on getting their nails done, that really isn't in a tween budget. It's much easier to have a collection of nail polish to go with their constantly changing style and mood.

Smell Pretty

Who doesn't love to smell pretty? Body wash, body sprays and perfumes are great ideas to spoil your girl. Younger girls will typically appreciate sweeter smells like candy, vanilla and fruity scents. They also have body sprays with some shimmer in them to add that extra sparkle. To find the perfect smell, check out Bath and Body Works, Victoria Secret or Amazon! Bath and Body Works has a Warm Vanilla Sugar Shimmer Mist for just $11. You can even get a matching body wash.

Gift Cards

Gift cards are always a great gift. While they may not seem personal, it will always ensure that the person you are buying for, get's something they really want. Here's a list of some great stores that they might appreciate a gift card from:

  • Forever XXI
  • iTunes
  • Starbucks
  • Rue 21
  • Charlotte Russe
  • Etsy
  • Amazon
  • ULTA
  • Sephora
  • Bath and Body Works
  • Barnes and Noble
  • Visa Gift Card

Bath Bombs

Both bombs are another craze that has recently swept the nation. All you do is place a bath bomb in your bath tub. It will instantly start fizzing. The color of your water can change to pink, green, yellow etc... each bath bomb has a different scent to help you relax while in the tub!

This galaxy bath bomb set comes with 6 large bombs. They all come in different scents and colors and make your skin very soft! You can get this set for just $17.90.

Yes, believe it or not kids are still reading books! You just have to find something that is popular with the age group. Here's a list of some of the top tween/teen books right now.

  • Turtles All The Way Down by John Green
  • One of Us Is Lying by Karen M. McManus.
  • The Language of Thorns: Midnight Tales and Danger... by Leigh Bardugo
  • The Hate You Give by Angie Davis
  • Warcross by Marie Lu
  • Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan
  • They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
  • Looking For Alaska by John Green
  • Throne of Glass Series by Sarah Maas
  • An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

These are all available at Barnes and Noble and Amazon.

Shiny Lips

When you're a young lady, putting makeup on and getting dolled up is one of the most fun things that you can do! While many tweens do not yet wear full makeup like foundation, mascara or eyeshadow, they do typically wear lip gloss for a pop of fun color and shine. You can't go wrong with some fun lip gloss for a gift!

Kylie Jenner has become very successful from her new makeup line. Her lip kits have made her hugely popular. Girls of all ages rush to her website to snag her lip kit before it's out. Normally you can only buy directly off her website but for a limited time, they are selling her Birthday Edition on Amazon for just $25.99. A great price for such a high end brand!

Jewelry is a another great gift idea. There are lots of jewelry fads right now but there's still plenty of timeless pieces that they would appreciate as well. Here's some ideas of jewelry that is in right now:

  • Earrings with tassels
  • Monogramed jewelry
  • Chokers
  • Charm bracelets
  • Necklaces with crystal pendants
  • Jewelry with their birthstone
  • Inspirational jewelry
  • Jewelry that is space themed

In my opinion the best place to find jewelry would be on Etsy. It's usually affordable and it's homemade so it will always be something unique!

What kind of gift would your tween girl appreciate the most?
