Halloween Make-up Tutorials

Updated on March 23, 2013

Halloween is a fantastic time to get creative and experiment with make-up tricks. Make-up can create a one-of-a-kind look that you'll find everyone admiring. Creating a striking look with make-up deserves attention. With enough practice you could easily find yourself winning Halloween contests. Some contests at busy business establishments come with prize money for the best make-up or costume.

I recommend starting early thinking about what you want to be for Halloween. I have lots of great hubs to help you with ideas for costumes as well as make-up. Be sure to check out my links below.

Experiment with make-up brands. This doesn't have to be an expensive project, but it can be if you go crazy with it. However, you don't want to find out Halloween night that your skin doesn't like the make-up. Shop around online and in your local stores for the colors you'll need for the look you want. You can even experiment with mixing your own custom colors.

You will also want to begin shopping early for your costume. Actual Halloween costumes can be ordered online year-round. If you're opting to assemble your costume yourself, begin shopping for accessories now online, at local thrift shifts or garage sales and flea markets. You can often find that perfect jacket, scarf, hat or wig. Don't forget the props as well. You can find all kind of accessories like purses, jewelry, glasses, etc.
