In Honor of Father's Day - Ten Country Music Videos

Updated on January 2, 2015

Calling all dads, grandfathers, stepdads and father figures of all types.

In honor of your special day I've compiled ten of my favorite country music videos as my gift to you.

I hope they bring back great memories you've had with your loved ones.

Maybe they might create new memories.

I hope these videos make you smile and don't bring too many tears to your face.

Happy Father's Day!

I firmly believe fathers and mothers should be celebrated everyday.

Whether your children are near or far, they are always in your heart. As you are always in their heart.

Have you tried video chatting? This genius concept was created for a reason. To keep our loved ones close, even when they are far away. Or in some cases, if they are in the next room.

Video chatting is not the same as in person, but it's better than nothing. No tools required, just a computer or iPhone.

  • Skype
  • FaceTime
  • Google Chat

If you are one of the many whose dad or grandfather has passed away, celebrate the day regardless.

  • Do something they would have enjoyed doing
  • Prepare their favorite meal
  • Watch their favorite movie
  • Go fishing
  • Take a hike
  • Go to a ball game
  • Be creative

Enjoy the memories with a smile. I intend to watch Benny Hill while smoking a cigar and drinking whiskey...not really, but I do intend to watch Benny Hill clips on YouTube and laugh a lot.

No matter how you spend the day the important part is that it's memorable.

Without fathers we wouldn't be here, so let's show our fathers how thankful we are.

For all the boo-boo's you helped mend and for all the hugs you shared, dads are appreciated...not as much as mothers, but nonetheless you are.

Do something nice for yourself. Happy Father's Day to you!

Kenny Chesney - There Goes My Life

Gary Allan - Tough Little Boys

George Strait - Love Without End, Amen

Rodney Atkins - Cleaning This Gun

Zac Brown Band - Highway 20 Ride

Trace Adkins - You're Gonna Miss This

Alan Jackson - Drive (For Daddy Gene)

Brad Paisley - Anything Like Me

Tim McGraw - My Little Girl (For the daddy's girls)

Conway Twitty - "That's My Job"

My Gift to all Dads and Moms...

If a reader listens to these videos as I did, they will cry. I guarantee that. I miss my dad so much. He was my step-dad, but he was more of a father than any man I know.

I had read and enjoyed this Hub before but I'd like to share it again this Father's Day.

This was so sweet. I loved Urban's song: very touching and it made me cry. I miss my father, but some day I will see him again.

Hi Mary, I'm sure I would have liked your Dad. Not only because he liked country music, but because he gave us you!:)

I miss my dad also. He passed 30 years ago. Wow. Where has the time gone? Forget that, I don't want to know the answer. Enjoy your memories of your dad :)

Linda, you would have liked my Dad cause he liked country music, too! My Mom didn't care for it at all, but had to listen to it when Dad was home!

I wish my Dad was still around....I miss him.

Hi Annie, Music has a way of making us emotional in one way or another. I hope you enjoy listening to Paul's music and remembering happy thoughts of your dad. Thank you for sharing. Oh and good pick the Keith Urban video!:)

My Dad passed away 6 years ago and (for his era) Paul Robeson was his favourite performer. 'Ole Man River' will always bring tears to my eyes.

I have enjoyed this great tribute to Dad's and Country Music and especially enjoyed Keith Urban's 'Song for Dad'.

You are so right, we should celebrate the day regardless. Our Father's Day is in September (in Aus), and you have prompted me to source a Paul Robeson CD before then and to play it on Fathers Day especially for my Dad. Thank you Sunshine.

Mohan, Check out Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean and Toby Keith for some rough and ready tunes. Keith Urban for "I'm going to get the girl" songs. Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney for a little bit of all of the above. I hope that helps. Carrie Underwood has a killer voice!

Linda, sunshine, this is a great tribute. I love country music but as the UK charts rarely place that genre I'm at a loss for good songs. I love your picks and spent hours listening. I need your help to suggest to me some albums I could download. BTW I really loved that hillbilly number with Trace and Blake. too cool for good. Voted up, across and away.

I always get chills when I listen to that song! My dad and I have a great relationship. He is the best man I know! Thanks for sharing this. Great Hub. Voted Up and a few other things!
