Santa Claus is Coming

Updated on July 27, 2016

Santa Claus is coming

I can hear the bells on his sleigh

I must close my eyes tight

And sleep till Christmas Day

I wished that I could see him

When he drops off our toys

But I know he must work fast

To reach all the girls and boys

I fell asleep and in my dreams

The reindeer were having fun

Flying high upside down

With Rudolph in the front

The tricks all looked so amazing

But I do wonder how Santa found

A way to keep all the toys

From tumbling to the ground

He landed on my roof so softly

I could hardly hear a thing

I rushed down stairs to see him

But he was nowhere to be seen

I noticed sparking on the floor

The gifts he left behind

Oh Santa thank you once more

For being so kind!!!!

This is so precious for this time of the year. Keeping the magic in Christmas can be done with cleverly put together poems like this. :) ps
