Scary Halloween Horror Masks

 For years now I've been fascinated with halloween horror masks and not the cheap throw away ones, I mean the expensive, hand painted works of art ones that you can buy on Amazon and other online places, in fact if there ever was a job designing these horror masks, then I would like that job, because drawing stuff like that is just second nature to me and I fill my sketchbooks with endless designs of monsters and creatures, much to the amazement of my two kids who always ask me to draw something for them.

I always said that if I had the money I would start buying the masks I liked and just display them on my walls all over the house as there are some top quality halloween masks of skulls,demons,witches and other horror creature designs out there that would make a good fit for a mask collection.

Of course there are some gross horror masks out there, which is nice, but I'm more interested in the horror creature ones that show a design that has been planned rather than a gimmicky horror mask with blood splattered all over it, a design that I can imagine drawing myself is what I like.

I've gone hunting through Amazon to find some good examples of horror masks that could be considered as scary, so have a look!

 This is a ghoul mask for halloween and it looks fairly detailed and straight forward in it's design and the best thing about it, it has a chest piece that can be tucked into a shirt, so it looks like you have a ghouls boney chest.

The skull like design of the ghoul mask is what makes the mask look good and plus it is an autopsy ghoul, so be careful it doesn't wake up whilst you are asleep.

 A classic design of an evil looking human skull mask for halloween, the skulls design does look quite classical and the paintwork is detailed enough to show cracks on the skull and horribly bad teeth which makes it look almost realistic.

 Devils are more similar to demons and this one is a devil skull variation which seems to work quite well and the paintwork compliments the mask design with the usual colours of a hells devil skull creature.

This is the type of stuff I've drawn a lot of, lots of demon skulls and evil demonic creatures and that's a nice reminder that I really need to start posting more of my stuff on my demon art blog more often.

 Quite an impressive zombie mask this one, almost movie quality and you can see someone had fun creating this one when they have added alot of painted detail to it and a great zombie expression on it's rotting face, I find when drawing a zombie that the cheekbones look better when you show them poking out like that, as they are dead and so it makes sense for them to look like they are wasting away.

 This fatman zombie looks like it was on a zombie film or inspired by something else, I just can't put my finger on it, the paintwork is rather pale considering other zombie masks, but this in itself is no real turn off to buy the mask as you can get different zombie complexions I suppose, but quite possibly they might not worry too much about getting sun burn.
