Places to go in San Diego for Cinco De Mayo 2012

Downtown San Diego, Historic Old Town San Diego is the annual Fiesta Cinco De Mayo. All Activities are FREE. Fiesta Cinco De Mayo takes place in San Diego's Old Town State Park. Corona, Tequila, tacos, and margaritas available til 7:30 PM. -(619) 656-4721

Old Town Mexican Cafe, 2489 San Diego Avenue Old Town 92110 (619) 297-4330. Great service and reasonably priced, located in the heart of old town.


In North County

Tio Leo's 3510 Valley Centre Dr. San Diego 92130, at El Camino Real located directly off the 5 freeway near the Double Tree Hotel in Carmel Valley. 858-350-1468. Casual Mexican style Restaurant, with a large and diverse menu from appetizers and margaritas to authentic green enchiladas, will be considering the whole day a happy hour, approximately from 11AM - 10PM. The bar will be open till midnight or 1:00AM depending on how busy they get.

Las Olas: is a fine dining fiesta, with an ocean view. Fresh food for the health conscious,cooked in 0% trans fat oils. (760) 815-3062

La puerta is a restaurant bar that serves fine quacamole, sangria and chilled margaritas.

      We were in San Diego years ago and truly enjoyed the Mexican Cuisine in the area. I would love to go again for the Cinco De Mayo Celebrations. Thanks for the information.

      I used to live in SD off of B Street and Chula Vista I had a Sail Boat in the marina there.before I moved to the Mid South. So I have a pretty good idea where to once Im there...lol

      Skarlet, I will have to try these places out next time I am in San Diego. My GF and I are from OC but living apart at the moment, Me in Arkansas, she in Riverside. I tend to fly in the SD several times a year, so we will have to stop in on the way up to OC. Voted Up
