An early well wish to all Christians around the world. Happy Easter.
In recent events in Syria and the Middle East, we see the conflicts and deaths on going...
We are blessed to have a day set aside each year to celebrate the resurection of our Lord.
Peace be with you.
Happy Easter to you as well.
“This Easter Sunday, Christians celebrate the resurrection of Christ and the promise of eternal salvation. It is a holy day of reverence and worship; it is a sacred time that fills the spirit of our Nation with the faith of our people. America is a Nation of believers. As families gather in houses of worship across the Nation, we are grateful for the tremendous blessings of this land, our home. We have a beautiful country, an abundant countryside, and an amazing people with a truly bright and wonderful future. From the beginning, America has been a place that has cherished the freedom of worship. That is the promise the first settlers saw in our vast continent—and it is the promise that our bravest warriors have protected for all of our citizens in centuries since, a long time ago. With God’s grace, life always triumphs over death, freedom overcomes oppression, and faith extinguishes fear. This is the source of our hope—and our confidence in the future.”
~ President Donald J. Trump, 4/14/17
What a beautiful sentiment.
Here is a photo outside our church this morning. It was overflowing with parishioners.
Gathering at the Cross is a holy sight to see.
Check this Cross out that James Woods shared on Twitter. I really enjoyed reading the comments.

Thank you. The yearly egg hunt at our house this morning was successful, in spite of the 6 kids getting up before the adults did. Hiding those eggs on the sly wasn't easy with the little ones peeking out the window to try and spot the bunny!

its origins are paganistic and dealt with the worship of the goddess ishtar. it is mentioned only because the pagans were celebrating it AT THE SAME TIME as CHRIST was crucified. what do eggs and bunnies have to do with CHRISTs crucifiction? for pagans they symbolize life and fertility.
