While people elsewhere may have heard of it, very few outside of this area have any real knowledge about Mardi Gras.  Only those of us who grew up or live near the Gulf coast between Florida and Texas have much experience with Mardi Gras.  Please come join us one year, you'll be talking about it the rest of your life.

I grew up in north Louisiana, and though I had heard about Mardi Gras, I didn't get to go to one until I was in college at LSU.

Mardi Gras in New Orleans is the largest free show on earth.  Let the good times roll!  Ya'll come on down.  This year it's on March 8th, so we're bound to have nice weather.
