"Not us," says the angry crowd,
Whose screams filled the arena loud.
"It's too bad he died that night
But we just like to see a fight.
We didn't mean for him t' meet his death,
We just meant to see some sweat,
There ain't nothing wrong in that.
It wasn't us that made him fall.
No, you can't blame us at all."
Who Killed Davey Moore - Bob Dylan - c1963
I've never been a great lover of boxing and when I listen to Davey Moore, the subjective, emotive, mind takes over and I think, yes, it should be banned, but then the objective mind steps in, it is a sport. All sports involve some form of controlled combat and are the development of survival skills; and yes we do need to remember them and keep them active, and yes, competition is healthy, it leads us to strive, to improve.
Should we ban, rugby, or football, or cricket... because sometimes the unthinkable happens and some one is maimed or killed, or should we hold the view that these are sports and people enter them under their own volition, understanding the dangers.
why would we stop it? it is something people have been doing for many centuries and it's enjoyed by billions of people.

In my first 3 months on HubPages I have published 64 Hubs. Which I consider a fairly good pace but in the last 10 days I have only published 3. It isn't Writer's Block as I have topics of interest I could easily write a Hub or two about. But rather I am paralyzed by Keyword Research.Instead of...
