Is it possible to clean a dusty artificial, pre-lit Christmas Tree?
I place the sections in large plastic bags and then store those in the original box, but the tree is getting VERY dusty after four or five years. How can I clean it without damaging the lights and extending its life by a few more years?
We have a very old tree, too. My husband took it out, spread it on a tarp (ours was in pieces but it should work for single piece trees, too) and used an air compressor to blow the dust off. It looked all nice and refreshed! And was much less dusty the next year we used it.
We store ours in plastic totes that are almost air tight, which seems to help limit dust, too.
