Does having an extra day in February mess up your schedule?

I noticed many of my students confused today because of Leap Day yesterday.  They were unsure of the day of the week and what month it was today.  The extra day in February through them all out of whack.  Did this happen with anyone else?

No, one day is much like the rest.

It messes up my preparations for spring. I hate having an extra day of winter. Why can't we have an extra day in spring or summer during a leap year. Who decided on February anyway? Why not give June a 31st day instead?  I guess this will qualify as my "rant" of the day.

No.  It's great to have an extra day of life! (I know it makes no difference really but it's psychological.)  I have friends whose birthdays are on 29th and it's the only time they get a 'proper' birthday - or does that make them three quarters younger than everyone else?  Plus we ladies can propose on 29th if we want to - how good is that?  (Yes I know we could do that any day too but it's a good excuse.)  Good question.
