Halloween is here again, but what of its place in modern society?

Are the traditions of Halloween becoming too much hassle than they are worth, in the light of troublemakers exploiting it to their ends?

In what way? People will use any excuse for mischief, just like they'll use any excuse to drink and party, and the two go hand-in-hand. There are a lot of meaningful traditions associated with Halloween that have been all but completely forgotten, but people simply love it too much (in the U.S.) to get bored and stop celebrating.

I agree. Don't get me wrong, I adore Halloween, and I'm fully aware of the importance and love it has in the state, more more so than over here. It seems there are more people nowadays however that wish it never happens. smile
