Every New Year the entire family (aunts, cousins, grandparents, etc) all gather in Ruston, Louisiana. It is the easiest location where my grandmother used to live. We each purchase a $20 gift card to a store or business. Once there we dress up the gift card so no one knows where the location is for. Then we play a game to see who gets what card. There is cheering, grumbling, playful teases, and sometimes people don't get the card they want. But you always walk away with something.

Every year on Christmas Eve, both of my boys get a brand new pair of super comfy pajama's to sleep in while they wait for Santa to arrive in the morning.  They are now 10 and 18 and both still look forward to getting their new pj's smile

We're usually done celebrating Christmas by the time Christmas Day rolls around so my cousins, brothers and I usually go see a movie and eat at a Chinese restaurant on Christmas.

I've always wanted to go to the movies on Christmas with family/friends. So far, we've only done it once...years ago.
