Would you go to a family party if it was at a sister-in- law's who hates you?

I can relate, cuz I didn't like my former sister in law much, and the feeling was mutual. Fortunately they divorced so she's out of the picture now. Nobody misses her. smile

But to answer the actual question...nope. I wouldn't bother to go where I'm not wanted.

      FatFreddyscat,
Thank you very much. I'm not going to bother going over there.

I think it would depend on the circumstances.  Is it a holiday party?  Is it the only family party you have each year where everyone comes together?  Does she "really" hate you?  There are too many variables to consider with these types of situations.  However, I do believe that going with your gut on this would be the best way to handle it.  If you do not feel like going, feel like it may turn into a catastrophe, then stay home.  If you want to go with some armor on and brave the evening, then you go girl!

      dragonflycolor,
Thank you for making me feel like I have a choice and that whatever I choose will be the right thing.
