Should face be painted or hair colored if dressing up like a butterfly?

So my daughter talked me into dressing up as a butterfly tonight. I will be a monarch. I was debating on spraying my hair orange or doing orange makeup. Is that overboard? Would it look right? My outfit is similar to the one pictured (not quite as revealing). Ideas? Thoughts? Should I just leave makeup and hair alone?

I would leave the hair as is and if you are in costume, do some face paint rather than makeup.

Should my entire face be painted? I was debating painting it orange.

No,.......... naturally beauty is real beauty, you should leave make up.

With that costume or one that's very similar, I say don't color your hair or use any type of make-up.

I think you should leave the hair and paint your face that will accentuate the beauty in your wings.

I hope you have loads of fun.

I hope you went natural.  I think painting the face and coloring the hair might take away from the costume.
