A Day to Remember to Be Grateful
Thanksgiving is a perfect time to stop for a moment once a year and remember to give thanks. It's a time to be grateful for one's health, family, friends, job, home and having food on the table.
Take a few moments as you read through this lens and to share what you will be giving thanks for this Thanksgiving.
We will be taking a few moments with our family to give thanks and say our "Gratefuls" before eating, as a reminder of all that we have to be grateful for, the good and the not so good.

Thanksgiving is a great time to take a moment, stop, think about all that we have to be grateful for and give thanks.
One of my favorite Thanksgiving quotes comes from H. U. Westermayer who reminds us of how impovershed the Pilgrims were and how many loved ones they lost, but even with all of the hardships, these were the people who set aside a day for giving thanks, a day that has become our Thanksgiving.

Before The Give Thanks at Thanksgiving Page was here on Hubpages it lived on the Squidoo website, where it had quite a history.
The Give Thanks lens was created in November of 2007 as part of the Squidaid project to raise funds for those devastated by the Southern California Fires of Fall 2007. This was one of my first charity projects on Squidoo.
In 2008, the lens was part of the Month of Thanks another challenge to lensmasters (Squidoo writers) to be thankful, raise awareness about hunger and make lenses to benefit hunger related Squidoo Charities.
In 2009, the lens was included in the Great Thanksgiving Mosterboard as one of 75 hand selected lenses.
Proceeds from the page were donated to charity.
