The Cross by Thomas Kinkade
The Ultimate Painting in His Life
When we think of the cross many things come to mind, but for the most part we think about the cross on which Jesus Christ died. It was with that in mind that Thomas Kinkade felt inspired to paint a large mural for the Charlotte, North Carolina Library of Evangelist Billy Graham.
This huge image would end up being the largest "canvas" he would design which was almost 20 feet tall and 40 feet wide. Franklin Graham, son of Rev. Graham, suggested the title to be simply called, "The Cross" in hope that its message would bring people to the Lord.
