The Iberá Wetlands Natural Reserve is located in the province of Corrientes in the northeast part of Argentina. The wetlands are a collection of stagnant lakes, temporary pools, swamps and courses of water with an incredible biodiversity. They are without doubt one of the best places to be in contact with nature and to see animal life in South America. Traveling there you can see alligators, pampas deers, marsh deers, maned wolfs, howler monkeys, capybaras (world’s largest rodent) and a multitude of birds.

Alerces National Park - Patagonia

Located in the west part of the province of Chubut, Los Alerces National park was created to protect the Alerces tree, an extremely slow-growing conifer that reaches enormous proportions at great age. The incredible scenery with large lakes, pristine rivers, dense forest of gigantic trees, and tall glaciers turns Los Alerces National Park into one of the most beautiful parks of Argentina.

Volcan Lanin - Neuquen

The Lanin Volcano lies on the border between Argentina and Chile in the province of Neuquen in Northern Patagonia. You can climb Volcán Lanin’s ice-crowned 3776m summit in a strenuous but relatively straightforward climb. The recommended climbing time is 3 days return. There are a couple of mountain huts to spend the night in the mountain, so carrying a tent is not essential. However, Crampons and ice axe are necessary and carrying a radio is required by the park authorities.

Aconcagua - Mendoza

We all know the fascination that high mountains project over the human mind. So, it is not surprising that mount Aconcagua, the highest summit in the world outside Asia, gathers more than 4000 climbers each season. Aconcagua certainly is not the most beautiful peak to climb in South America. However, its colossal size, the aridity of the terrain, and the colors of the landscape convert climbing, trekking or horse riding there into an unforgettable experience.

San Antonio de Areco - Buenos Aires: Tradition's Day

San Antonio de Areco is a town that lies 113km west of the city of Buenos Aires, the Capital of Argentina. The town is one of the most ancient and traditional settlements in the Humid Pampa. So it is a perfect place to know more about the culture of the Gauchos life. Every November the town celebrates the “Argentine Tradition’s Week.” There is a parade, music, dance and Gauchos showing their skills.
