10 Great Zombie Love Stories
Zombie Romance Novels and Short Stories
While the zombie apocalypse may be a scene of fighting and survival, it can also be the setting for a great love story.
Zombies are often so associated with voraciously eating brains, that we forget that they have hearts too. (Well, I think technically the hearts are there, but I'm not exactly certain what they're doing, if anything.)
Here are my favorite zombie love stories. Curl up with a shotgun and one of these great novels for a nice evening, or give one to a friend or loved one as a caring gift that says, "If zombies are chasing us, I promise I won't trip you."
1. Warm Bodies
Warm Bodies: A Novel - by Isaac Marion
We often see zombies as the horde and not as the individual, but Warm Bodies reminds us that not all zombies are same.
This book was made into a movie released in 2013, starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer.
We often see zombies as the horde and not as the individual, but Warm Bodies reminds us that not all zombies are same.
Now is a great time to read this book, as it was made into a movie being released February 1, 2013, starring Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer.
In this unlikely love story, zombie "R" falls in love with a living girl, Julie.
R is not your average zombie with only one pleasure (eating brains). He has his hobbies. But, when Julie comes into his life, or rather undeath, everything begins to change.
Warm Bodies is sometimes dark, sometimes funny, sometimes exciting, and always interesting.

This book of short stories and poems is amazing!
Each story is great, and together you get a real sense of how romantic zombies are.
One thing that is great is that the stories cover a range of relationships such as zombies in love with each other, humans in love while fighting off zombies, and humans in love with zombies.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is a classic! But I still can't associate zombies and loves stories...
I love Zombie movies... I can't wait to watch Warm Bodies :)
Ha I have now seen absolutely positively everything. You are a creative genius. A somewhat off the wall, and slightly mad creative genius, but indeed someone with a wonderfully wild sense of the unusual. I love you Zombie love stories. How romantically gruesome.
I loved this lens! I can't wait to read Warm bodies (and see the movie)... I currently have Pride, Prejudice & Zombies... LOVE!
zombie and love two great words that go great together.
I love it! Why do zombies come to mind so much when thinking about V-Day? It's quite a mystery....
