Georgia Nicolson and Tallulah Casey

Louise Rennison did us all a favor when she created Georgia Nicolson's character. This is young lady that has the biggest problems in the world, like any teenager does. She needs to kiss the most popular guy in her high school, so she has to learn how to walk in high heels, and to choose the best lipstick. Of course her parents and teachers don't understand her, but she has the coolest friends that anyone can have. On first sight she appears to be shallow, but deep inside she is a very good person and has a good heart. She also owns a cat which is the most dangerous pet in the neighborhood and has a very demanding little sister. All of this makes these books very entertaining.

There are ten books about Georgia's adventures. And when you finish reading them, you will be pleased to find out, that Louis Rennison started creating a series about Georgia's cousin Tallulah Casey.

Tallulah is a very different type of girl. She's shy, but wants to be an actress. She also has boys issues, and will probably be a worthy successor of Georgia's work.

Adrian Mole

These books are written in a form of a boy's diary. Adrian Mole is a very ambitious person, and he has so many dreams. Unfortunately for him, this book is about dreams that never come true.

Adrian is a child from dysfunctional family, who wants to become a writer, but he is the only person who appreciates his work. In the beginning of the series Adrian is a young teenager, but trough these eight books about him, we can follow his growing, and the biggest part of his life. These books are funny and satiric and they are not only a biography of this fiction character, but also a critic of social and political environment in the world today.

Books About Rachel Weinstein

Rachel Weinstein is a regular high school girl. She wants to be popular and she wants to popular boys like her. Like we all know, this is not easy. But when you realize that some of your family members are witches, what should you do?

Rachel and her sister Miri live with their mother. Their father wants to marry another women, and Rachel and Miri are ready to do anything to prevent that. They live on Manhattan but that is not the best place for witches to start practicing magic, but they are doing that anyway.

There are four books about this unusual family and their adventures. It's not only about magic, but also about growing up, following your heart and being honest. Although Rachel doesn't seems like a very mature person in the beginning, until the end she learns how to be as best as she can.

Artemis Fowl

He is the smartest kid in the world. He is also one of the richest. But his family is famous for their climinal activities. Although he is 12 years old, he is ready to start with the biggist crime in the world. He's going to steal gold from elves.

His dark materials

This is a triology about girl Lyra Belacqua and a boy Will Parry. First book, the 'Northen Lights' is about Lyra's advantures. She lives in the world which is very simmilar to ours, but still, so different. This girl has a speciall gadget - The Golden Compas that can provide her answer to any question. She just need to find out how to use it, and almost no one can do that. She also has a daemon, which is a little animal that represent her soul, and in her world, everybody has one. No one can live without his daemon and vice versa.

In the second book, Lyra and Will possess a Subtle Knife. This knife can cut window to other worlds and dimensions, but price of doing this is terrible. Lyra and Will has a lot of different advantures in their path of growing up, and in third book, The Amber Spyglass a lot of question is beeing answered, and this book give us a very different explenation of God and theology.

I think the only series I ever read out of these was Artemis Fowl. Even so, it's been a long time since I've read it. These sound like great suggestions!

These sound like some interesting books. Even though I'm not a teenager, I usually enjoy reading young adult fiction. I voted this up and useful!

Great list. I have dabbled in three of these series and never really got into them, but now I'm tempted to go back and give them another try now that I'm an adult, especially His Dark Materials.
