"A Dark Faery Tale" #2: Ariel
Ariel
A demon faery of the sea,
wants to play a game with me.
Her eyes bright and yellow,
like the anglerfish she keeps.
Her smile just as menacing,
and as sharp as his teeth.
Hair fiery red,
like blood in the water.
Who would have thought,
this was King Triton's daughter?
A deadly pitchfork in one hand,
Ursula must have taught her.
Her skin full of crust as it starts to decay,
from a million years of ocean corroding it away.
Dirty and dingy, her fin split in half.
She just taunts me with her evil laugh.
To become human she must eat our souls,
and take them wherever she goes.
To stay human she must find love,
so she swims to the surface up above,
looking for a prince to condemn and conquer.
First thing first, she'll make him love her.
Then she'll send his soul to hell.
Beware, the little mermaid, her name is Ariel.
