A Poem Of Love And Devotion For My Best Friend And Loyal Companion, My Miniature Schnauzer
Baby Loves To Go For A Walk

You and I have been together for almost seven years now,
Our relationship just keeps getting stronger and stronger,
How did I ever live without you in my life?
I would be hopelessly lost without your love.
Baby Loves To Go For A Swim On A Hot Day

We spend our days together, playing and having fun,
No matter what I am doing,
You are always by my side with your adoring eyes,
Your only wish is just to be with me.
When we take our daily walks, rain or shine,
You walk slightly ahead of me, and sometimes you glance back,
To make sure I’m still there and haven’t left you,
Do you walk ahead to protect me from any harm?
My Miniature Schnauzer Knows Many Tricks. This Breed Is Very Intelligent, and Eager To Learn New Tricks. Here She Is, Asking For Her Supper

At the end of our busy day, I make your dinner,
You never complain about what I cook,
You appreciate my delicious home cooked chicken and rice.
You seem to understand that is my way of saying I love you.
My Miniature Schnauzer Looks Forward To Me Coming Home

There are those rare times when I have to leave you alone,
I know how much you miss me when I’m gone,
So I hurry home, and you greet me with excitement,
You act as if you thought I’d never return to you.
My Miniature Schnauzer, Baby, Is All Groomed And Beautiful

When we ride in the car together,
You proudly sit beside me, just so happy to be with me,
People go by, and think what a lovely companion that lady has,
I think they are a little jealous of my beautiful companion.
Baby Waits Patiently For Me To Go To Bed

I anxiously wait for you late at night,
To join me in my bed,
I feel you gently climb in beside me,
Not wanting to awaken me from my sleep.
Then I feel your body getting ever so close
Until you are nestled in the small of my back,
I feel your sweet pink tongue kiss the back of my neck,
And I turn to face you, because I know what you want.
You slowly turn over on your back so that I can rub your tummy,
I caress your soft, smooth pink skin with my fingers,
You groan in appreciation, as is to say, please don’t stop.
Soon, we sleep and perhaps dream of our day together.
My Miniature Schnauzer Enjoys Floating In Our Raft

The morning comes, and we awaken,
You and I hop out of bed at the same time,
We both look forward to another exciting day,
Another day to share our love and devotion.
Do you have a best friend and companion like mine?

After reading your poem I am so thrilled to see your love and devotion to each other. I love animals and our cat Charotte keeps us in stitches as well as has an abundance amount of love to give. I use to have a cat named Baby so your story brought back more lovely memories. Wishing you both more love even though I don't think it's possible in the new year.Thank you for sharing and all your pictures are priceless.
Sad about the blindness! I commented on that hub. Pets are amazing and so loving to us.
I had to come back and read this beautiful poem.
Sharing this again and a thumb-up UABI
Blessings to you and your precious pet.
O tears are trickling down my cheeks...this is so precious. Clearly you are blessed to have such a companion in your left who asks so little but to be loved.
I have had a few kitties and pups that made me feel that very same way. And right now I have three that make my day each and every day.
How blessed we are to have the love of our 'family'...because they have become a real part of our family
Blessings and hugs and many Angels once again headed to you ps
Your baby is beautiful and really smart. I love the photos of her on the raft in the pool. This breed really has such expressive eyes. They really are companions and just want to be near us all the time. She's a real charmer. I'll be pinning her photo to Pinterest on my Furry Friends board.
What a little sweetheart! Yes, I am a little jealous of you. Sometimes I miss having a dog but my daughter's kitties are just as sweet.
What a lovely post.
What a beautiful poem! Dogs are a wonderful blessing. They bring so much joy into a home. Your Baby is a show stopper! Gorgeous photos and a great hub- voted up!
Mary, you are so fortunate to have your wonderful pet. We have had many dogs. I guess the smartest was Trixie the Basenji, and Pudsie she was a snoodly (miniature Schnauzer and miniature Poodle.)
Have a wonderful weekend
Blessings and hugs with your cuddles.
What a lovely tribute to Baby! I know exactly how you feel. No one will ever love us like our four legged companions. Their love is so unconditional.
Your pictures are beautiful and compliment your poem perfectly.
In all, I sometimes wonder if we love them more than they love us. Either way, I wouldn't want to live without them.
Voted up, awesome, and beautiful.
What a wonderful relationship you have with your companion Mary! So very lucky! Both of you!
That was a sweet idea, Mary to write a poem about your beloved Baby and illustrate it with photos. Very nicely done!
you got such a cute pup, seven years are long and hope that it will live another 20 years? Shared and voted up, btw, thanks for your reminder about my spelling mistake. I had edited it.
Animals know when they are truly loved, just as people do, and it's beautiful to read about your love for your Baby. They offer a sense of companionship (and health benefits, too) that cannot be understated. Truly heartwarming, Mary!
Lovely hub and I enjoyed reading about your best friend. Cute pictures and your loyal companion looks like a complete entertainer. I have had pets and I can say with certainty that they are not only good companions but also stress relievers.
Thanks for sharing this lovely hub, voted up!

This is a lovely tribute to Baby, Mary. You have described your love for her and her love for you beautifully. I loved the photos, too.
Hi mary, hope you and baby are having a great day, I love your poem, and how wonderful to have such an awesome companion!
Oh, Mary, you have the tears flowing here with this beautiful love poem dedicated to your best friend. I had to run out the door to work in the city this morning, and so I wanted to wait until I arrived home to read it without having to rush through it.
It is obvious just how much your Baby means to you in this wonderfully expressed poem of your daily interaction showing love to each other. Baby is adorable. She is blessed to have you in this life, as I know you feel the same about her.
Up ++++ tweeting, pinning, G+ and sharing
I know by now you and Baby are probably tuckered out from your busy day. I hope you enjoy a peaceful night.
This is so precious. I love it.
Oh, wow, the hubs look different now and the share buttons are to the far left! Amazing what happens during the day.

How lucky Baby is, Mary, and how lucky you are as well. I loved your tribute to your sweet doggie - especially regarding your sleeping habits at bedtime. Love the photos of you all floating on the raft in the pool - that's the way to go!
Well Mary, this is a cute, charming and wonderful Hub. Dogs are by nature loyal and devotional, and yes, they know some tricks too. Glad that you have such a loving companion. When men fail, dogs don't. Much peace this pleasant evening.
Mary I am glad you have a best friend. I have 2 and would not trade them for anything. You have written a very good poem that gives us your feelings of love for your Baby. Great hub, Stella
Animals can be true friends even though they don't speak our language :)
Beautiful rendition, Mary!

Love your pictures, tips and lovely sentiments. I can't imagine my life without my dogs.
A sweet tribute that'll make any animal lover swell with emotion. This poem made me think of the dogs I had before they passed years ago. Voted up.

Wonderful exercise of love. My dearest friend is my 11 year old Jack Russell Honey.
Well, shoot. I left a comment and now it's gone.
I love this tribute to your best friend, Mary. I enjoyed the photos and taking a walk through a day in the life of you and Baby. I have three feline best friends. I can't imagine life without our four-legged companions!
Hi Mary,
What a beautiful poem and tribute to Baby. Pets certainly enrich our lives.
Shelby, my cat has been with me since last October. I can't imagine my life without her.
Wishing you and Baby a good day. :)
Take care,
Susan
A beautiful testimonial and tribute, Mary. We have too many pets to have one best friend, but I understand completely.
A beautiful poem that clearly displays your love for your miniature schnauzer Baby, and her devotion for you. Well done Mary.
It's amazing how dogs just seem to know they're in a good place, isn't it, Mary? If you're having a bad day, Baby is there to remind you that, "this, too, shall pass." Never fails, I'll bet. Too bad Baby can't read. She'd be thrilled at what you wrote. Voted up, awesome and beautiful.
