A Poem of True Love
I remember you from my past.
Am I supposed to remember?
The memory of you is vast.
Like burning ember,
My heart yearns for you.
I watch you play with your children
And yearn to hold you all tightly.
Do you remember when?
Do you remember me touching you lightly?
After so many years, your heart is still blue.
How I yearn to kiss your ruby red lips once again.
How I yearn to caress you close to me.
How I yearn to ease your pain.
I see you wondering what would be.
Only know my love for you is true.
Weep for me no longer.
Continue on with your precious life.
Allow your heart to grow stronger.
My best friend, my wife.
Through this, you will pull through.
For my wings have sprouted,
And I must now help others like me
To answer the prayers of the undoubted.
I can only guarantee
That I will always love you.
