A Stranger Returns (limerick)

Updated on March 7, 2016

One day something strange came to me

My head filled with this mystery

Wife’s counsel I sought

My answer I got

So that’s what a thought used to be

You have a million of em! Isn't it great? You can take thinking for yourself off your list of things to do now.

Very funny, but also true, Mhatter! We can't count the number of times we fail to think straight on our fingers! Thanks for coming by!

MH, I like stopping by to visit. I am always enchanted by how you are able to put words together and create a finished picture so concisely.

This is just one more example of how you do it. Voted up. Thank you for sharing with us.

I love the twists in your limericks. You present irony of human lives wonderfully.

Mh, I know I will have no choice but to smile every night when I stop by your way. Then, along with your other hub of sheer beauty in words, you are just spoiling us all dear one. This one, I am sure, is a very familiar scenario in pretty much every married household. LOL Voted Up and funny - of course! God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper

Was wondrous when I had my way

      enjoyed each and every day

      Married I got

      Mind went to rot

hers to rule and not mine to say

Let's see, what was I gonna say, oh yeah, Great Job!

I thought a thought into the air,

It came to earth I know not where.

But someday I know that I will find,

That one single thought that was in my mind.
