After this! What Next? (Poem)

Updated on June 28, 2016

As of a Child

Wanting good edibles

Just to satisfy my hunger

Having someone that accomplish it

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Pupil

Desiring break time

Just to play into happiness

Having our time keeper bang the bell

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Boarding student

Waiting for holiday

Just to meet my parent and old friends

Having the principle announcing the holiday

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Student

Desiring and toiling for excellence

Just to make my parents proud

Having seen my results of flying colors

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Young bachelor

Desiring a pattern for life

Just to be married and responsible

Having met and married to my love

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Preacher

Desiring souls be won to Christ

Just to fulfill the reason for the call

Having seen multitude on an altar call

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Graduate

Desiring a profitable workplace

Just to make life earnings

Having received an employment letter

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

As of a Child of God

Desiring to be Christ-like, while on earth

Just to be accepted by God and men

Having heard good testimonies from men

Made my joy full, a life worth of all

Oh! Fulfillment personified

But a question has always arise

After this! What next?

Hum! Fulfillment personified

The worth of a life

But we must note

There is always a new place to dear

After each single fulfillment

So, Merry with joy but remember

This question that always arise

After this! What next?

Funny how we always want to know ' what's next ' We are all connected and have the same questions. Interesting and enjoyed...

abbaelijah...Very well written and thought provoking...,as humans, since the beginning of time, we have had the same question.." what's next or is that all there is ? "..perhaps if we gave thought and savored the moment...we would be more fulfilled...just a thought...
