Writing Articles For The Online Audience

As an online marketer, writing articles is an important part of your marketing strategy. You have probably written hundreds, if not thousands, of articles promoting yourself, your products and your services. You know that a good article can increase your reputation more than any promotion can.

How To Write Articles Fast

We all have to finish writing our articles as fast as possible. Because there are so many other more important things waiting for us to do like watching sports on television, going out for a beer with the guys, and just lazing around doing nothing, we just can't spend the whole day writing articles. And the wife will remind us that there are other things to be done like mowing the lawn, fixing the leaky faucet and taking out the trash. So, to give you poor overworked guys a break, I have prepared a list of hints on how you write your articles faster without sacrificing the quality.

HTML For Article Directories

When writing articles for the article directories, a knowledge of HTML is usually not needed. Most articles directories come with a rich text editor with which you can perform simple formatting actions like bold, italics and lists. But there are some directories in which you can only submit in pure text, although they do accept some HTML tags, and that is what this article is about.

Article Directories - The Top 10

Article directories are an excellent way of getting the word out, or of showcasing your work, or you might just want to write for fun. In fact, article marketing is the main "weapon" of choice for many Internet marketers.

Get Paid For Your Writing Talents

On your marks, get set...Write!

One day later, after numerous rewrites, hair pulling incidents and kicking the cat, your masterpiece is ready. This must be your best work yet. In fact, if your article is a painting, it will probably be on par with a Picasso. How much can you sell it for, you wonder?

Free Photos And Images

When I searched the web for free photos and images that allows personal and commercial use, I discovered thousands of sites. Many of those sites were small, personal sites with a few hundred images, while some sites hosted hundreds of thousands to millions of images.

Copyright is something you have to deal with as you go about your business on the web. So it is really useful to know a little bit about the Copyright Act. I have prepared a short summary and I also hope to clear up some misconceptions about it.

Creative Commons Licenses

Creative Commons licenses are created to fill the gap between a copyrighted work, in which you reserve all your rights, and releasing your work into the public domain, in which you relinguish all your rights. Creative Commons licenses have been described as some rights reserved, in which you retain some measure of control over how your work will be used while giving permission for other types of uses.

What Is Plagiarism?

Plagiarism, as defined by, comes in 2 forms. Firstly, it is the "unauthorized use or close imitation of the language and thoughts of another author". Secondly, it is also " the representation of " those ideas "as one's own original work."

Gerald - Very true. Another thing is that reading from the screen is more stressful and uncomfortable on the eyes than print media, so it is better to keep it short and sharp when writing online.

Thanks for sharing these excellent tips on article wriing. I think that writing online requires a way different approach than writing for school, newspapers etc. It is because of search engine requirements.
