What do you see when you look at me

Do you see the me that is or the me that you want me to be

Do you see my strength of character, my ambitious nature

Does my intelligence nurtured from Childhood glow apparent

Or do you see me as you would like it to be

Does my Intellect affect, or emasculate your nature

Is that the reason you would see me not as your equal, but kept

The Color of success.

When you look at me truly, tell me what do you see

Do you see the individual I am, the one my Parents raised me to be

If first appearance matters then tell me what at first you see

Is it my honesty, my ability to work

Then it must be my IQ

My ability to explain quantum physics as it pertains

To summarize, to construct equation, to theorize

or maybe it's my artistic side, no

Aah..., then it must be the Father/Mother

I one Day hope to be with Grandchildren at my knees.

Because what you see at first glance is not all there is to me sad face emoji
