Everyday there is a new~

Painted butterfly that visits~

How dainty they doth fly~

Stopping often in a fresh flower~

Suckling the nectar within to sustain its life.

Today it was the~

Orange and yellow Monarch~

It spattered its presence every where~

I was sure it was the Queen~

When it landed on the leaf with much room to spare.

Yesterday it was~

The cobalt-blue and emerald-green~

King of the butterflies~

You could not miss his flutter here and there~

He flew very bold without a care.
