Beyond Lost

Updated on August 13, 2012

Lost words bring tears best not dwelt upon.
Lost years bring sorrow that one must reach beyond.
The seperated grow close though distance remains
The past is long lost though the spirits have gained.
The future holds promise difficult to reap
All will need footing and loves we must keep.

I love your poem. Some folks only like the long ones, but it is harder to say what one wants with fewer words. You succeeded admirably. Thank you.

Thank you hyphenbird; one of my faults is that I tend to shorten too much. This one was written in 1983 when my youth had no use for words that didn't get right to the point.
