So you want to blog? Blogging is a wonderful hobby that can turn out to be a substantial residual income. Even if earning money is not your ultimate goal for blogging you still want a decent blog that people care read. I myself have just discovered the wonderful world of blogging and there's so much to learn. There are so many option when it comes to blogging and what you can do. Creating a sales page, niche websites or personal website are just a few option that can set you up well on your way to the amazing world of blogging. So now the question is "What to write?" Below are just a few tips on writing I hope it helps in your success.

Write What You are Passionate About

"Passion is the genesis of genius.”

– Anthony Robbins,
Speaker and Author

I've found that if there is an emotion behind the subject matter you chose to write about, even a small amount, the content is much better. You're more apt to want to know more on the subject. It makes a world of difference because although your audience may or may not recognize a lack of passion the will definitely take notice to a passionately written article. So take your experiences and/or education and share you vast knowledge with the masses. You have something to offer the world and its something that can be of great benefit to your audience. I use the method just sitting and letting my thoughts wonder and whatever my mind leads me to I start writing. Sounds crazy but it really works.

Write What You Know

The only source of knowledge is experience.
Albert Einstein

This is clearly a no-brainer but you don't want to go spouting off about a topic you know nothing about. If you decide to venture into uncharted territory yourself make sure you do adequate enough research to support your article and be well-versed enough to be able to have legitimate conversation about it if need be.

Write What's Popular

You want to drive traffic to your blog, after all, that's what its all about. You want your work to be seen and also if you are using this as a source of income you need to write about what people may be interested in. Some great sources are Yahoo! or MSN because they normally have a section that shows what topics that are being searched for the most and also top stories of the day these can in turn be a great tool for finding things to write about if you are having trouble coming up with things yourself and/or getting your blog the visits you desire.

Write What is Organically You

This to me is the most important of all things. Make sure your content is original. This is benefical in two ways: 1) You won't run into problems with having things that are already on the internet (which may cause problems with the site you publish you blog on) and 2) you are more likely to find your blog ranked higher because of the uniqueness of your article. This in turn will drive more traffic to your page and how exciting is that? I say its very exciting.

As I've said before, this are just some things that I have noticed on my journey through blogging and I hope it helps you in ways you can't even imagine. Good luck and happy blogging!
