About Chris Mills (cam8510)

What can I say about Chris? I am not objective because I am a big fan of his talent! I only can tell what my Heart feels for him. I loved this guy from the first stories I read and the first messages we shared. He is one of these people you love for no particular reason, just because you feel their higher quality. I have a word in my mind that describes him. Authentic! He is a golden-hearted man who is always willing to offer help without asking any reward. I will never forget that he has spent some of his precious time to help me improve my writing skills and my "problematic" English.

This story is a humble "thank you" to his noble Soul that I admire. I wish to be worthy! Chris, I love you, my friend! Thank you for being you!

The Story

He was lying on the soft grass of a lovely and bright meadow. His head was on her legs as she was sitting on the ground and was leaning back on the trunk of a tall and imposing tree with dense foliage and flowers that produced a heavenly scent. He was staring at her beautiful face, trying to capture every detail of it as if it was the last time he could see it. She was caressing his hair with tenderness and was looking at his face with the same expression of love. She leaned, kissed him on the forehead and said:

-"It's time! You have to leave, my love."

-"I want to stay with you, forever here, as we are now. I do not want to leave!", he replied.

-"I know, my love, neither I want it, but we still have a lot to do before we can be together forever. It's not this place our purpose, do not forget it. This place is just our temporary meeting point."

-"What is our purpose if not to be together? There is no true happiness for me away from you, and you know it."

-"Our purpose is to grow in love so much so that overcome restrictions like those we have now. Then we will be forever together because we will have become One in the vastness of Love."

-"And how can I grow in love when I am away from you? Why did you have to leave? Why did I have to lose you so early? It was so unfair! I needed you. And I know, you will say that I am selfish, but our children also needed you. For them, it was even more unfair!"

-"I do not know yet if it was unfair, but it was definitely tough and difficult for all of us. Please, think how much I wanted to be next to our children and see them becoming beautiful and happy people like you help them to be now. I do not know why that had had to happen. I do not know why we had to separate so early. I really don't know. But I know one thing for sure. I will not let the pain and the bitterness to drive us further apart. I know that by allowing Love to grow within us, we will find all the answers. When we manage to overcome the pain and the individual needs and experience unity through Love, then all the questions will be answered. This is our purpose. Let us become pure channels of Light and Love of the One, in every world we exist. If we do so, I know –I have seen it happen to others here– then we will always be together. Really together! More than we were before. Please believe me, my darling, and don't grieve."

She leaned and kissed him sweetly on the lips. For a moment he was lost in her aroma and taste and felt the Light to fill every piece of his body with bliss. He stood up, sat next to her and put his arms around her, whispering in her ear:

"Tell me what I have to do! I will do it; whatever it needs. I'll do it as soon as possible..."

She interrupted him by putting her hand in his mouth.

"You don't have to hurry anything, you can't hurry Love anyway. Time doesn't matter. All you have to do is try to fill up your every day with more kindness, offering and love and to live it happily, but always with patience and perseverance. This is how you will prepare a path for the Light that will unite all the worlds again, and it will give us the freedom to be forever together and with all our beloved ones. I will do the same in my world. Isn't worth trying it? "

He lowered his eyes and said in an uncertain voice:

-"You don't know how much I want to believe all this. I need to believe that it is not just a dream created by my longing to see you again. I will do all that you say. I will do it anyway because we have always insisted that this is the right way to live. But you know I've always been like Thomas, the unbeliever, so please, give me something to hold on, something to believe and to get stronger."

She smiled at him and said:

-"What do you think would help you?"

-"I don't know... a sign... something that only the two of us know. I found it! Do you remember the time we camped in the forest and when we came out of the tent in the morning the trees were full of wonderful blue butterflies?"

-"Of course I remember my love! It's one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen, and I've seen it being with you in a magical place! How can I forget it?"

-"Well, I would like to see a blue butterfly at some point in my day! It will be the best sign for me!"

-"Okay then, I promise I'll try it."

He cuddled his wife tightly, and Love flooded them while their image was lost in a sphere of white Light!

He opened his eyes. He was lying on his bed. He thought that he still could smell her perfume. He got up determined to live a day as he had promised her even though this promise was the product of a dream. He headed to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Before opening the refrigerator, he turned on the TV –by habit– to hear the first news of the day. Without looking at the screen he continued his way to the fridge, but before opening the door what he heard made him freeze. He ran to the window, and what he saw filled his eyes with tears of joy. The city was full of beautiful blue butterflies!

The living experience of Love is the end of Mourning.
