Book Review for There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative by Stacey Dash

It seems that every famous actor or actress has a signature standout role, one that he or she is most known for. For Stacey Dash, that movie role is in the movie Clueless, where she starred as Dionne, the best friend of the main character Claire, played by Alicia Silverstone. In Stacey Dash’s autobiographical book, There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative, she discusses this role a lot.

  • Stacey Dash enjoyed participating in this movie, Clueless and enjoyed the comradery that she developed with the fellow actors on the project.
  • Stacey Dash also mentions that she was well into her twenties when she played the role of this high school student character.
  • Before and after her participation in the movie Clueless, she has many stories to tell about various events in her life.

Stacey Dash's Autobiography

This book, There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative was a very interesting read. Published in 2016, There Goes My Social Life: From Clueless to Conservative is the autobiography for Stacey Dash with much supporting information about why she prefers conservative views.

She went through so much in her life

As with many of the book reviews that I have written recently about autobiographical books, this one also shows that the author went through so much in her life.

  • For example, Stacey Dash was tragically molested as a young girl but has no memory of it, although there was physical evidence.
  • This is just one of many terrible things that occurred and that she describes in the book.
  • I read many autobiographies and very sadly while this is haunting and disturbing, it is not that uncommon.
  • In the autobiographies of many female famous figures, there may be discussion about one or more incidences of rape or molestation during their lifetimes…

There were times during Stacey Dash’s teenage years when she acted out so much that her mother thought that she was in need of professional help and she had to beg her mother because she did not want to go for professional help.

During high school days, Stacey Dash may have appeared petite and unassuming but she fought back and violently and brutally beat her bullies on more than one occasion (yes, bashing someone’s head into a brick wall is REALLY brutal) and she was affiliated with a gang as well.

Among her conservative views

  • Among conservative views that Stacey Dash grew to develop, she believes strongly in avoiding having to use the social welfare system at all possible costs, to the best of one’s ability.
  • Stacey Dash has also been a past victim of domestic violence and among her conservative views, she also believes strongly in the right to private gun ownership.
  • Stacey Dash has claimed that her right to bear arms has helped her to protect and defend herself.
