Campfire | A Poem
CAMPFIRE
A piece of night;
A million pixel-points
Shine down through
A feathered chimney of pine.
Hypnotic flicker
Of friendly flame,
Logs snap as sparks
Rise to try and meet the stars.
Mountain hush of night birds
And whispering stream
Entrance the soul with
Cool, comforting contentment;
They immolate
And wash away my cares.
