Caw, Caw, Caw

Updated on June 19, 2013
Crow Divination
Crow Divination

Silence settles

Across the way as the first sun rays,

Shake off the blanketing

Of midnight terrors, errors,

Lovers and their wares.

The sky and plains

Now clearly defined

Frost addled branches

Crackle and it begins.

Calling to each other

For each other

With each other

Or away from the headiness of it all

The monotones of complacent

Need prove too much

For some to hear

Sheep and wolves

Stumbling over and out of it all.

Caw, caw, caw!

Death to your deceit.

Caw, caw, caw!

Death to your Sheppard.

Caw, caw, caw!

Death envelops all.

I love graveyards, and crows! Is that weird? I often go with my lover on daytime drives through the graveyard looking over the ponds and trees and check out the different birds. It's usually the best plot of land in each great city. Golf Courses the second best. It's a great place to watch the trees change. Perhaps it's my morbidness but I feel comforted there. Death is only a beginning of another tale regardless of the broken hearts and regrets left behind.

Thanks for being my favorite fan.. even if you are the only one ;) Your kind words keep my chin up when the pen gets heavy. I posted about you in the forums lol.

Wow, more impressive and amazing writing here. This is dark and heavy with mortality as it presses down on us. The caws of the one bird in the world that I hate.... LOL. I forever associate them with graveyards, so I can't help it. Why do I feel like this is reading my mind, somehow....?

Everyone fears death and many are so ignorant of it.
