I First Met Christy in 1986
Christy, my sister in law is one of the most important influential people in my life. I first met Chris back in 1986 when she was only fifteen years old. It was a few months after I had met her brother Al, who is now my husband of 23 years. We had driven up to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario for Christmas. I had never met his family before but I was very much looking forward to it. As I look back now it is one of the best Christmas’s I've ever had. I was welcomed into the family with open arms. Always There to lend a Helping Hand
After having my twins Chris was always right there to lend a helping hand. Whenever I needed a babysitter or just a break she was there, more than willing to help in anyway that she could. The twins loved her so and always had so much fun with her.
Over the years I watched Christy grow into a beautiful woman. When she asked me to be her maid of honor I was elated. When Christy’s first daughter Sarah was born, I knew what a wonderful mother she would be. In my opinion no one could have a better mother than Chris. She is loving, attentive and nurturing to all four of her amazing and talented children.

If it were not for Christy I would probably not be writing this today. Every chance that came along she would encourage me to write. She thinks I have talent. When Chris first started blogging I was so proud of her as it came so naturally to her, and she was writing amazing stuff. I would follow her blog sites, read her articles and think there’s no way I could do this. After years of her saying to me “You can do this too Sue” I finally gave in. I had done some writing for Helium but it never really amounted to anything. One day I got an email from Chris telling me that this real estate site was looking for stories, and I should write one and submit it. I thought what the heck, why not. They bought it and I could not believe it. I then started writing for a web site that paid actual money that Chris told me about. Now I am here on HubPages because of Christy. Always there for me, encouraging me, and I am so thankful to her for all that she has done for me.
I was an only child and always wanted a sister. It took me longer than the average person to get what I wanted (with no help from my parents). Technically Christy and I are sister in laws but in our hearts we are sisters.
Today I want to say Thank You Christy for everything you have done for me, for all the encouragement and support you have given so freely, but most of all thank you for being my sister. I Love You.
