Come Sit By Me A While VIII:Shallow Waters.

Updated on October 1, 2012

Come sit by me a while each and everyone of you;I found this song 'Shallow Waters' sung by 'Chris Norman' on YouTube and I sat back to listen to the words;I am sure many of us will be able to relate.

I am not materialistic ;my happiness I find amidst Mother Nature's priceless gifts of unconditional love.

However not everyone shares these ways or beliefs.

Here is a story of true love so one sided and how it was doomed from the start.

To be in love can sometimes cause us to travel somewhat blinkered ;but those niggling doubts will surface from time to time and cannot be hidden forever.

Days gone by.

I thought you loved me so

I gave my heart so true.

Oh how I loved you so

My days so still and blue!!!

Acrostic:Shallow Waters.

So painful so raw

Happiness clinging on

Although I knew of your ways

Leaning on nothing cannot last

Love cannot thrive single handed.

Oh my heart you broke

Why did it have to be so.

x

Why did you have to be shallow

Although I knew you were so

Through rosy hues I looked

Eventually my fragile heart

Ripped in two.

Crying to myself

So much heartache cuts right through

No more tears to cry.

On waters so clear and blue.

I wore my heart on my sleeve.

I loved you will all my being

I'd would never have deceived.

x

I so feel in love in an instance

Emotions flowed round and round.

Love songs deeply filled my heart

What a wondrous magical sound.

x

My emotions in a true landslide

My heart so full of love

Reaching deep into my spirit

Carried by a pure white dove.

x

Today I look back at those days

When I believed I'd found my prince.

The pain so sharp and powerful

The memories still make me wince.

x

Today shall I carry on walking

My coping method switched on.

My heartbeat sure and free

The past now is gone.

Shallow

A heart so hard

Words each so meaningless

I so loved you right from the start

I opened my heart with trusting motions

Small niggles ignored but still there

Open up and believe

A heart not true

Shallow.

I wear my heart on my sleeve

and you I did love so.

Our days so cushioned in blossoms

our hearts as warm as the sun

rays reaching out to others alone.

A strength so great

from deep within

like carrying along on life's tides

To my heart I listened

while

my head said no!!!

Obstacles overcome!!!

Rough paths to smooth!!!

Emotions from a true heart

so flowing

a true love

so deep.

I called from the hills

in echo

'Oh how I loved you so!!'

Some words

from you

gleaming with a sharpness

so piercing!!

So vicious!!!

So cruel!!!

so heartless!!!

The truth arises so slowly

as each volcano rises

and

rises

to

overflow!!!

while today

I face up to

signs

that had been there

from the start

but the love I'd felt

was so beautiful!!!

How could it have been so wrong?

Life's lessons so powerful

and

are hard to take

when we love with all our heart.

My heart so deep so sincere

but

matched with one

so shallow

so doomed

so grey!!!

I cry as I cling to your shadow

I should have noticed from the start.
