Daughter’s First Word (limerick)

Updated on January 29, 2015

I still recall daughter’s first word

And all the excitement it stirred

My wife started hopping

To phone calls non-stopping

When from babe’s mouth Shopping was heard

This is too cute, Martin. It is especially funny to me as my grand boy who will be 3 in a few months has known the 'shopping' word more almost a year. When he asks where we are going and I say 'shopping', he says, 'shopping---Thomas.' Thomas is the name of his favorite train cars and he likes to shop for Thomas cars.

      Thanks for the smile.

Angels are on the way :) ps

Haha! Cute, but I think my daughter is more of a born shopper than I am. Perhaps one day she will relate. :)

Baby's language, Martin, is certainly not boring,

Next you will probably hear the words: Ralph Lauren.

      Great double-rhyming, m'dear.
