Dexter: A POEM
“Your words are always so powerful and captivating Thandi, no matter what the subject. Well done. Voted up” Jodah from Queensland, Australia
Dexter: A POEM
Stuck in the tar
Like a maga
Jittery and abandoned!
Afraid and stunned!
Forgotten!
Like a prodigal son
And like the yolk of an egg
I am caged by this wet rag
Waiting for time to pass
To be eaten like grass
I have nowhere to run
No one to pawn
Life made me a slave
Like a lost cause from a pit
I am a piece of shit
Dragged on the sleeve
Life gave me the kiss of Judas
It betrayed me; it killed me
It dashed the evil ones lavished wealth
Slapped the good ones with suffering
A motionless movement of the mouse
Me?
It gave me a drought
Wicked pouring
The wicked have prospered
Good is of no use!
There is good in evil
Busted!
Life is a curse!
A Maelstrom pill...
For Dexter...
