Echoes Of Wonder.
Yesterday we went to a small and quaint seaside town called Tenby in South wales and only around 30 miles from where we live. Tenby is so popular with visitors to Wales and also just like us with the Welsh themselves.
My first photos are from a quaint nook with a couple of beautiful craft shops called Pandora's Shop.
My song choice for today is Ceidwad Y Goleudy (Keeper Of the Lighthouse) by Bryn Vaughan.
I hope you enjoy our day as much as we did.
Treasures free flowing
Olde worlde heart tugging
Oh so enchanting.
Such a great pulling
What a wondrous experience
Rich charm and great pride.
The sea's in my blood
Great cursing raw emotions
Cherished and so loved.
Wondrous heritage
The life of sea farers true
Salt sprayed memories.
This beautiful and quaint church is called St Julian’s and was built in 1878 for the fishermen in Tenby. Inside it can seat about 75 and the sense of serenity fills each nook and cranny.
Hundreds of visitors worldwide have visited St Julian’s. In the Visitors book they hail from Australia, The USA, Canada and all over Europe as well of course from many all over the UK.
So many comments on the peace and serenity found in this true haven.
Weekly Sunday services are held at 4 pm all year round and I am determined to return one Sunday to attend one of these services.
Many weddings are also held here with a license only held since 2009.
Back in 2011 a Wedding Blessing was filmed here for the TV programme 'Don’t Tell The Bride’ and was broadcasted in October 2011.
St Julian's so still
Serenity fills each heart
Those sea faring prayers.
I hope you all enjoyed our visit to Tenby.
Wishing you a wonderful day and lots of love from my little corner of Wales.
Eddy.
