I was once burdened,

By the turbulence of inner waves;

Powerless, like a child, to protect myself.

But now You’ve embraced me,

With a paragon of virtues, and

A sweet stillness resides within my Soul.

Come, my Beloved!

Let us look at the full moon tonight.

Let Your shimmering Light,

Dance before me like radiant lamps,

Beckoning in the darkness,

To show me the way.

When the night arises,

I see Thy cute Form,

In the joy and delight of twinkling stars.

By the same token, spring rises,

Only to welcome the blossoms of Your Grandeur,

And I waft Thy sweet fragrances in my being.

Let me spend this life,

Cascading trinkets at Your feet;

Driving away the endless thoughts of turmoil,

By engaging with Your quintessential Love.

Time is like a fleeting cloud, and,

As the weather is changeable, so is life.

I wish to take root, like kernels on fertile soil,

Filled with a Utopia of magnificence,

Anchored in their Core.

Help me to rise, with the beauty of the dawn;

Enlightening my Path with a trillion rainbows,

And Your immaculate splendour in my Soul.

      Yes, Sherry, it is that and much more. God is the supreme Artist, and poetry is one of His sublime and lofty tools residing elegantly, on the canvas of the Soul.

      So happy that you came and that you left such a beautiful sentiment. Much appreciation. Hari Om!

      Joni Mitchell says her mentor told her that poetry is "Painting with words." I think that is a good analogy, and it seems to go with this hub.

      This was clearly done with the palette of great bounty. Drink in the splendor coming from each exquisite brush stroke, and may the joy of the seasons surround you at once.
