FAMILY b. Malin

The Family has come and gone, and now the Memories linger on. Like fresh morning Kisses to be remembered and shared with Lover Man. It's been a few Summers, we've had our trial runs, once or twice we all came undone...But we've all now learned, grown...They have their own "Space" in a house a few blocks away. When they come in "Fours" they stay with us for a weekend. But on their "Special Vacation Week", they rent a House closer to the Beach.

We've shared Meals, and Laughs, and the Beach, and the Surf, and the Sand...Where Love Messages are written for the world to see...and for Me to find, and Post.

"They" get messages from home about their "Crazy Cat" who at age five or so, has "Selective Friendships". The message that I have Posted is from the "Cat Sitter"...Which I thought was Priceless, and a good Laugh...if you weren't the Cat Sitter! Only recently, on my last visit to their home, "Boo" the Crazy Cat befriended ME. I had my hand on the chair in their Kitchen, she jumped up and nudged it...meaning I could pet her head...I hesitated, said a prayer, that I wouldn't lose it as I stroked her head ever so gently. "Wow, I thought, Boo likes me, she really likes me". (Thank you Sally Field, for that now Famous line, which I've altered a little).

The Week flew by for us, and yesterday, we took the Pictures, said our "Goodbyes" and then quietly watched as they drove away...It was Ok, it had been a Wonderful time.

On Sunday, before the rains came down, Lover Man and I walked up to the Board walk, and looked at the Ocean and the Beach, which was pretty deserted because of the weather. The Ocean called out "Where's the Family"? "They had to go home...Vacation time was over"...I answered. "Are you All right" it asked. "I'm fine, we're fine...We shared Family Love, and the "Vacation Message" was received today...They had a GREAT TIME, and "Felt the LOVE"...So Yes, I'm Truly Ok! Thank You for asking".

      Hi B,

My immediate family is small and we all live fairly close to each other. We get together for the typical holidays and birthdays but I sure wish we had an ocean nearby ...

September Girl, I live here, near the I'm never far from it. Thanks so much for Liking my Life. This weekend I was away and couldn't wait to get home and stroll the Beach with Lover Man.

Saddlerider, we too, don't see each other as often as we'd all like, Jobs, life, doesn't always allow that. But I have to say, this was one of the best weeks we all spent together. Thanks for all your Wonderful Comments about your Family...and thanks for Enjoying this Hub.

I don't get together as often as I should with my siblings total of 7 of us still above ground, but when we do, it's so much fun. We tell tales of each other growing up as kids, the hard times and good times we shared together.

It's definitely a wonderful feeling giving and getting hugs from sisters and brothers, it always leaves me teary eyed when we part and go back to each others cities until the next visit.

Enjoy it while we can, life is so fleeting, we have to LOVE and be around our families as often as we can. This story you told here was simply beautiful and I envy you all.

Cute, I really liked this hub, b. Malin. I like how you describe your life through lover man and the family. Even down to fearing the crazy cat, Boo. : ) I bet the beach will miss you and your family.

It's our Love for the Ocean that keeps this Family Tight...and of course for each other! Thanks PegCole for thinking this Hub Delightful and my story well told.

What is it about the Seashore that brings out the Love...As if we didn't know, right Alicia. I love living here and feel complete when they become apart of it, even for just the week. Thanks for Enjoying Alicia.

Your hub brought back my memories of my favorite childhood holiday when my family and some of my relatives joined together for a camping holiday at the beach. My cousins, my sister and I had such a wonderful time playing on the beach and exploring the seaside town. Thank you for sharing your lovely story!

      b. malin - Wonderfully written. When I was younger all my family lived in the same area. Over the years we have scattered and I miss those times. Soon I'll be back around my son when I move back to Texas. Family needs to always come to the forefront because they are usually the ones you can count on.

      Great Hub.

So True Rosemay, finding out about their Escapades when they were Young and Laughing about them now...and watching the Beat of the New Generation that they have created to carry on...Empty Nests have good and bad points...but lately it's been GOOD!

It's the Quality Time that counts the most Cloverleaf, even though saying Goodbye is Difficult...But the memories are always with us!

I hope you do get to go Neil...Even September and October are Beautiful here on the Jersey Shore...and the Best Kept Secret!

My family vacation get-togethers are few and far between but we always enjoy so much quality time when we meet up. I think we appreciate each other more and build so many amazing memories. Saying goodbye is difficult though!

It is so nice to have family get together vacations. Drawing the fsmily in to the nest again. Reminisce and tell stories, it was on such vacations that I often found out things my children had done when young. Mischief they had got up to and I never knew about.

Oh so sad though when the vacation is over and they each go their seperate ways and the nest is empty again.
