Red, white and blue~

Self-government~

For one and all~

Red, white and blue~

These we still hold true!

Red, white and blue~

Picnics~

With hot dogs on the grill~

For one sovereignty~

Means a celebration~

With our dreams full-filled!

Red, white and blue~

Fire crackers exploding in the summers air~

Represents autonomy by everyone~

We all watch and join the affair!

Red, white and blue~

The entire country unites in~

Merriment as a whole~

Because we are self-ruled~

We need never fold!

Red, white and blue~

Little tots with watermelon pieces run~

We have one and all~

Self-determination~

May God never let America fall!

Red, white and blue~

The bells of~

Freedom ring~

It is awe-inspiring!

Red, white and blue~

Hymns play by the grand stand bands~

We have a gala of fun to~

Commemorate our liberty~

As we have protected our lands immunity!

Red, white and blue~

Families and friends gather together~

For self-sufficiency is supreme~

As we earned the right to party~

Serving chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream!

Red, white and blue~

Self-reliance has been~

Hard earned~

Join we now in the festivities~

A remembrance of joy~

For our independent lifestyle conjoined!

Red, white and blue~

Everyone salute~

For our individualism! ~

Everyone salute~

For the heroes~

That brought us to these days! ~

Everyone salute~

For our freedom they had paid!

Red, white and blue~

Self-government~

For one and all~

Red, white and blue~

These we still hold true~

Red, white and blue…

Thanks for this great 4 tribute. Well done Welcome to HUB writing. I enjoyed this very much. You have this laid out beautifully and it is easy to understand. Keep up the great HUBS. I must give this an “Up ONE and Useful.” I'm now your fan! RJ

Thank You Reynold ---it was a great effort to write...certainly an experiment...But it does serve a purpose....

This is a great Fourth of July poem. Even though it is past, we can still repeat these words every day. Our independence should be celebrated with pride.
