words slide and shimmy

toward close of day,

into the cracks left behind

by the other 28 days;

like toes gripping wet sand

i feel them fall into place,

a distinct click,

as each locks into place

and like the wet sand,

when i dig deep enough,

i see water filter up

and there i find my joy.

      Absolutely beautiful.

      It is short but so full and deep.

      It comes together nicely.

      Love your work! So many try to hit that 12oo mark with word count... or try to fit some format, but you write from the heart and it shows.

      I follow so few ppl. I'm following you.

      If we really think about it, there are many small things that bring pleasure to our lives and they may be different things for everyone. The breeze on our sweaty brow on a broiling hot day, the feeling of being clean after a shower, the satisfaction of a huge job on our chore list being done.

      Thanks for the follow also. Sorry it's taken me so long to get back but work started again and this last week was definitely a week from hell with hellish heat included and there was no time or energy left for HP.
