For The Love Of Butterscotch!

Excited little girl

beautiful brown eyes

welcomes me home

with happy cries.

Only gone minutes

to her, hours

missed me so

kisses she showers.

Wagging tail wagging

smiling toothy grin

Butterscotch is happy

I'm home again.

My heart smiles

affection so pure

she loves me

this I'm sure.

Love you, too

cute little girl

asks for nothing

brightens my world!

A little sable longhair, is she? Pretty. Mine is one of those, old now but still a beautiful girl.

In that first picture, though, she looks as if she's plotting to attack you unawares and tear out ... well, maybe a mole. I don't think they're up to jugulars.

Attikos, thank you for the comment! Butterscotch is part black Lab, but I have no idea what the other half is! All I know is that she's special to me! She hates having her picture taken and that's why she looks so funny in those shots! haha!

Oh, what a sweetie! We have a new puppy too and he is a blessing and a curse and he cracks me up daily! Life is so full of these little joys and pleasures...and your writing is one of my joys. Great job Lisa!

      yes, he is cute.

but not as sweet as you

      I would wait

      for you to come home

      until you do

      i would be blue too

Bill, I completely understand the blessing and a curse part! She chews up anything she can find, but I still love her! Thanks for the comment!

ImKarn23, we had a German Shepherd once that we got when he was a baby and he lived to the ripe old age of 19! Yours is still a baby!

      Thanks for the comment!
