GRANDMA’S TEA POT SINGS
Grandma has a tea pot~
One that really sings~
When it is wound up~
It plays such beautiful things.
Grandma has a tea pot~
Mostly white and scrolled~
Trimmed with gold and lavender~
Flowers decorate its delicate mold.
Grandma has a tea pot~
She keeps for special times~
Used when the family gathers~
I hope someday it will be mine.
Grandma has a tea pot~
I see it sitting there~
I dare not ever touch it~
It must be treated with utmost care.
Grandma has a tea pot~
Displayed on the kitchen window sill~
It stands there so Victorian~
Made with love when filled.
Grandma has a tea pot~
Kept away from little hands~
Children’s eyes may look at it~
But touching it is band.
Grandma has a tea pot~
It is special in many ways~
I yearn for us to use it soon~
It fills the moments joyful and gay!
Grandma has a tea pot~
One that really sings~
When it is wound up~
It plays such beautiful things.
