Mom loving me and feeding my rebellious soul. She has never given up on me. That's why I am who I am! I love you, Mom!

This is dedicated to you, Mom, because I may never have told you how much I love you.

Do you see the connection between the nurturing of mothers and nature?

Giving Thanks

For Mother’s nature

And

Nature’s Mother,

I offer my thankfulness.

For without one

I would not appreciate

The other.

My mother tends the garden

As lovingly as she

Tended me.

Mother Nature

Tends

Our Lives

Pleading,

‘Stop and look at me!’

Mothers give us a strong foundation

So lovingly toiled

Mother Nature gives us nurturing

From her nutritious soils.

Our Mothers

Build our souls

As Mother Nature

Withstands the tolls

that

Humans place upon Her

By reaching for selfish goals.

Our Mothers feed us from her body and soul

To enable us to become who we are meant to be

As we grow old.

Mother Nature is our earth

And the air that we breathe.

She gives us sustenance

But Mom

Gives us Life.

Happy Mother's Day! I love you, Mom!

Simply beautiful, Sha! I know there are those who do not have fond memories of their mother, and that is sad. I have nothing but good to say about my mother, and I loved what you had to say about yours. Well done my dear friend.

Beautiful poetry with an incredibly brilliant title, Shauna! Sadly..i lost my mother to gambling about 10 years ago...no one's seen her since - but - mother nature nourishes me and every day i appreciate her warmth and beauty!

Beckie: thanx for the votes and my cherished lightning bugs! Happy Thanksgiving!

Bill: I guess we're the lucky ones, huh? I love my mom. She makes me laugh. She told me yesterday that the picture I posted is her favorite of us. I remember that little dress; it was pink and my favorite. I wore for my 4th birthday party.

Lizzie: I don't think any of us really understand our mothers until we become one ourselves. So very true!

Mhatter: I'm glad you appreciate my poem. It came to me out of the blue yesterday as I was working on an assignment about controlling pests in the garden. Maybe that's what led to it. My mother is a Master Gardener!

Linda: so glad you approve! Mom loves it!!

Charlynjune: Mom's are the best. So are dads!

Leslie: I'm sorry to hear about your mom - so sad! But look at you - you are awesome! Happy Thanksgiving, my friend!

A nice tribute and let us all give thanks this week for the blessings we have. Don't want to throw a wet blank on anything but things are about to get very hard on many people in our nation.

God bless America. We're going to need it.

Maria, I'm glad you enjoyed. It's been a while since I've written a new poem. I'm glad it was Mom who inspired me!

Frog, you are so right. We need to keep all our people in our prayers.

      Happy Thanksgiving to all!
