HEY MOTHER NATURE...by b. Malin

Updated on January 31, 2011
Mother Nature
Mother Nature

A PLEA...

Hey Mother Nature how's it going?

Have you looked out at the World today...

From your window way up in the sky.

We need to have a "talk" WOMAN to WOMAN.

What's wrong with you?

Who are you mad at?

The Earth is becoming Snowbound...

That white stuff, you're sending,

Is Swirling, and Swirling around.

The temperatures are Freezing, Freezing,

Everything around...No End in Sight,

As it goes down, down, down.

People are Exhausted from Shoveling, and Shoveling,

And not gaining any GROUND!

The Children are so SAD...

Their Vacation Time has been taken away...

They have used up all their SNOWDAYS.

So now I am trying to appeal to your Nature,

Mother Nature, to stop, fooling around...

Give those Forty Nine States a break...

Even those SNOW FREAKS that Loved it...

Have now had ENOUGH, ENOUGH...

I'm willing to package up some Florida Sunshine,

I'll split the shipping expenses with you...

And all you have to do...

Is DELIVER IT!

That is my PLEA, from Me to YOU.

Voted up and awesome and funny. I thought it was great. Mother nature had issues earlier this year, so, what can you do. She needs to get off of it. :)

As a Wiccan I send pleas as such to my Mother all of the time, but I always get an empty box letting me know that what I need or want needs to be put in the box by me.

Very wonderful your words. Up and beautiful. Merry Meet B.Malin. Blessed be

      Johnny Love

We're expecting snow in TN tonight and next week. Maybe it may take two or three poems to Mother Nature to get her going. I love these words as always. da

You may be right Rich, but it would be nice if we could control it, just a little...especially for a vacation or wedding...So glad you enjoyed!

Imagine if we could control the weather - I am not sure if that would be a great idea! I think man needs to do more to stop harming Mother Nature and then maybe she would be more in harmony with us.

Thanks for your wonderful poem my friend and God bless.

No snow here in Southern California, but it has been unusually cold and frigid...it was 27 degrees on my father's front porch in Orange County the other day...I tapped the thermometer twice because I thought that it was broken! Yes, Mother Nature seems to have had an attitude of late...Loved this piece!

You wouldn't believe what my property looks like. It's beautiful but the snow is very near the top of the fence. Now for the ice topping!

In Ireland we seldom see the snow, but this winter, over Christmas it has been a problem. Am looking forward to spring time myself, but I have noticed that all the snow has not stopped the daffodil bulbs from showing. Maybe spring is on the way. Great sentiments in your poem shared by many.

I guess this is all part of "global warming", if you can believe that one.

Good Hub Voted up and funny.

Feel better now. In 1960 we missed the entire month of March due to snow, it snowed every Wednesday. Four in a row and we went to school on Saturdays seemed like forever. Great hub.
